It's a tough year because so many kids (from last year) graduated and went on to swim in college. But we're definitely a young team ... there's a bright future ahead of us.

They held a higher yardage threshold longer than the other kids.

Natalie really came on at the end of the dual meet season.

The second half, we settled in and rotated a lot better on defense. I know the kids were excited early since this was our first home game of the year. That may have had something to do with our offensive display over the first 16 minutes.

For a lot of these guys, that light doesn't go on until they leave college. For some kids' cases, it's too late. For other kids' cases, it happens in the nick of time. As a coach, you have to able to adapt, trust these guys even though sometimes they don't trust you. I know it sounds crazy having said that, but I love my job.

The boomers' kids have gone off to college, and they are looking for somebody to fill the void in the house, ... It's also the young professionals who are putting off having families, and are looking for companionship.
