It's a tremendous teaching tool and it's going to give our students hands-on, practical experience.

[We] had good attendance. We wanted to have it in conjunction with the Board of Governors meeting so that they would be able to go through and see that.

That was really the top priority.

We recommended extensive changes to our current existing stadium facilities to ensure student welfare, to accommodate fans in a comfortable environment, to promote efficient event management and to provide convenient facilities for instruction.

We are teaching real science that is standards based, but we are letting the students have the experience. This is only the tip of the iceberg. With new technology we have a tremendous opportunity to incorporate it into classrooms.

We take them to another level of knowledge after the students already have some driving experience on their own, teaching them additional driving techniques and an understanding of what that several-thousand-pound hunk of metal is doing under the simple laws of physics.
