It's amazing. It gives us a lot of confidence. To be this close to beating the No. 1 team in the country is exciting.

If you're going to dismiss a person for poor performance, part of the implied term of mutual trust and confidence includes the need to give a person reasons for that and give them an opportunity to improve before you dismiss them and possibly give them warnings if that's a practice in your workplace.

I just want to go out there and hit the routines like I know I can hit them. Last year, it was crazy watching all the teams around me, trying to figure out what was going on. This year, I feel like we've seen most of the best teams in the nation, and I get to see them again, and I know what to expect.

I can go all out and go for everything on every event because I don't have to hit for the team. It's definitely a different mindset. I'm excited to get one more shot.
