It's an acknowledgment of a job well-done.

Considering that the majority of the staff are freshmen and earn awards as freshmen it's a good indication of next year. I was also very pleased to see sophomores win, it will help them transition to a four-year school. I also feel they learned that what they do makes a difference.

Faculty senate will host a luncheon to recognize the winner. The winner also receives an all expense paid trip to a professional development conference as well as a plaque.

It's a difficult call because among our 60 full-time faculty we have many outstanding faculty members. We hope students will take a few minutes to nominate an instructor and acknowledge the influence and dedication they've received.

Eponymous brands aren't that popular with analysts and investors now. You can only take an eponymous brand with a living figurehead so far, they argue. What happens when they grow old and die? What happens when they misbehave and go seriously off-brand?
