People want beautiful yards - you don't have to have 100 percent habitat restoration.

The things you have to do to win (a Medal of Honor) are so rare, so unusual. Millions of people have served in the armed forces, and only a couple thousand have received one. What they would have to do would be so phenomenal, so over the top, that it just doesn't happen very often.

Kids need to have their own personal nature experience.

These are the living, moving parts of the garden. What a deprivation of experience it would be to have a garden without birdsong.

If you plant it, they will come. If you build it, they will come. It works.
