It's an interesting contradiction, and it's happening everywhere.

The Bay Area is stabilizing as the economy is showing nice, steady growth -- unlike what was happening in the late 1990s.

It's a thing that's been happening over the years,

It's really interesting. Everything's happening and it's unfolding just like it did at the Thurston shooting, but again at a smaller scale. One thing that isn't different is the shock, the anger, the hurting, the students that are scared and the staff that are scared. That's not different.

It would have been interesting to have been able to watch it from afar, to see everything that was happening that day -- but from where I was, I didn't hear them at all.

It's not behaving like the rest of the Riverside County area. The rates of increase are lower than what we're seeing in the rest of Southern California.
