It's been a long journey. There's so much history, so many people, different agendas.

A lot of history has already been forgotten, and it's hard to get people to fight for something they don't even know is being lost. The visitors from Virginia or from Florida or Japan or wherever don't realize the opportunity that's not here for them that was there for them in 1992.

Any improvement over what we have now is the right thing for the kids. We have a site and now we can address planning and funding, which will be an enormous task for the board.

We'd like our kids to have a nice modern facility they could call their own.

Whatever we do will be a massive improvement to what we have now.

It's quite isolated. We really need visibility and ease of access for the kids.
