It's clear that Digital has not been able to beat Intel in the marketplace, and now they're trying to do it through a patent suit. It's extremely difficult for Digital to win on something like this.

Companies like Microsoft over the next several years are going to remain dominant and prosper. Intel is in exactly the same type of position. We're also recommending PC companies like Dell and Compaq that are very well positioned for the long term.

The problems had their genesis a long time ago, so it's not that the problems specifically related to new management. They're trying hard at cutting the cost structure, introducing new products, but I don't see what they could have done to have avoided this.
