It's coming to a point where, if things don't improve, the answer is going to have to be no on funding requests.

I hope we don't have to borrow again, but it doesn't look very good. It will depend on this month's income.

If we can get fifth or sixth we'll be doing well. There's no way we'll beat Aspen, Summit or Vail Mountain School, but if we can stay ahead of Battle Mountain, that'll be great. For a bunch of kids who train for two-and-a-half months out of the year, they do great, and I'm real proud of them.

When you're not a manager, what you produce is your value to the company. When you move into management, you're rewarded for making other people more productive rather than producing yourself. You need to redefine that measure of success so you don't get involved in production anymore.

A good manager finds satisfaction in helping others be productive, not being the most productive person in the room.

Some domestic riders, like myself, have ridden a lot of against those guys. But for many of the guys, it's a chance to show what they can do against some of the biggest names in the sport.
