It's completely in opposition to the community character.

They are a good group and they provide a valuable service to the community. We support their efforts, we just want them to do it somewhere else.

We have supported removing the road extension for years. The road would not provide any clear benefit and would destroy the peaceful lifestyle out here.

I think what is being done is actually adding to this area's character. Bellingham is an artistic community and recently there have been a lot more shops opening in Fairhaven that offer local artwork. A few years ago, these artists were on their own when it came to selling their work.

The spirit of the community has returned. People are wanting and willing to help themselves and are happy to help their neighbors. One feature which I think needs to be acknowledged is the determination and the spirit of the people to recover.

The kosher community tends to follow often several years behind the general societal trends.
