It's definitely a good rivalry. We don't have to tell the kids about getting excited, and I think they feel the same way. It's a big game for everybody. It's always real special.

Defensively, they really played a solid game all night, and I'm proud of them. I'm real impressed with our defense; did what they said they were going to do: 'Try our best.' Played aggressive football — running to the football, making tackles ... they forced a lot of turnovers in the second half.

You've got to give them credit. They're a great team. We're going to have to find out about us. This is a very humbling experience. We've got a big district game (against Cypress Lake) coming up and we have to pull together.

It doesn't seem like there's a rivalry here. I know our townspeople get up for it, but our kids don't. (The rivalry's) not there like it used to be. It's just a phenomenon I've never dealt with. I've been upset with the kids because they haven't been too excited about it.

We've developed a nice rivalry with Rutgers Prep. It's two good teams, a lot of the kids know each other, and this game means an awful lot to them.

It's great to see kids come into this rivalry match and get after it. To win a match in the conference is a big deal; to win one on the road is a bigger deal. To win one here, well, it's huge.
