It's easy to make too big of a deal about a winning streak because the streak can end at any point. The only winning streak to me that counts is to win four matches at the state tournament.

Even guys who haven't been down here wrestling before have been in the stands when we came back from a tough (quarterfinals) or a tough opening day and won, say, 10 matches in a row. They know that once you get on a roll, it's real big.

A little taste of success makes you want more. When I get a little bit of success, I want to work that much harder because I want that feeling again.

Of course it's tough to reach the number one place and also winning grand slams.

It feels good. That was our first goal to accomplish, winning the Pigskin Classic, and we accomplished that.

I think this really stakes a claim that I'm a champion, ... I'm a competitor. If it means winning by an inch or a mile, I'm there.
