It's giving them an idea they could actually do this, instead of going into college as an undecided major. You're giving them that background to say.

It's also just good exposure to the technology. Their whole generation is focused around (technology). Ninety percent of them already have used digital cameras. This is what's going on in their lives.

They're just having so much fun. I think they need this break during the school day when they get out of their seats, get creative and learn, but in a different medium.

I actually have this fantasy of giving up my cell phone.

In college, I was a researcher/writer for 'Let's Go: Europe,' assigned to Crete and Cyprus. I was supposed to go to England, but at the last minute they transferred me, despite the fact that I spoke not a word of Greek. I learned the very basics, and to this day can say 'oil,' 'vinegar,' and 'boyfriend in America.'

One of the greatest joys in my life was giving a lecture in French at the College de France.
