It's going to be a challenge, but at least it's a good kind of a challenge. I'm just happy to be thinking about restoring, instead of reducing.

That's going to be our immediate challenge. Even if we had a normal budget tomorrow, it's going to take a while for us to recruit staff.

What we're really hoping is we can challenge other organizations to help.

They both offer a lot to one another. They can help one another. Our greatest challenge will also be our reward.

It's a tremendous design challenge just to meet the needs of our clients and make effective use of public funds. But we still try to do something more, look for just one or two places in each project where we can make something sparkle. Sometimes it doesn't even have to cost money -- it can be more natural light or the interplay of different materials.

Obviously everything depends on that -- our ability to be open more hours, to have children's programs, to get our collections current again. It's all distilled down to people.
