It's hard to say good-bye to seniors who have picked your program up and put it on their shoulders and do it with the integrity and character that they did. Losing is losing, but I'd much rather keep these guys around.

We worked so hard to get the bye week. I felt bad for the seniors to go out like that.

You have to be able to make good plays on just about every possession. They don't get rattled. So many times this season they've knocked teams out in the first quarter. Teams have to work so hard to recover from that. By the time they do that, the game's over. Those are things we have to guard against. We've done an admirable job of that the first two times, but it wasn't enough, plain and simple.

It's been hard as heck for those seniors. They've given their hearts to the program for four years.

We have a very good group back this year. This group of seniors really revitalized the whole track program . . . and they've only lost three meets in the last three years.

Saying good bye to a person may be akin to death of either party because,you may never meet physically on this plane again.
