It's huge for us beating Seward. It's the first time I've ever beaten Seward.

Most things that people give us we're never really happy with, so most of the time we do everything ourselves anyway. We just kind of skip the middleman and do it ourselves.

We wore out a little. All year long, we've had lulls. Saturday (against Seward County), we overcame our lull and won the game, but we didn't do that today. ... We just don't go as deep. Their ability to keep coming at you is a huge advantage.

Connie's a winner. All the colleges I've talked to about her, I tell them she's a winner. She'll hit a big shot or get the big rebound to win a game. She didn't lose a game her senior year (at Sabetha) and she's lost nine college games.

We've been able to turn the program around and we're an (Jayhawk East) power. That's just because of the support that we've received.

She's certainly capable of it. I've seen her do it before and hopefully she'll do it again. I thought she stepped up huge in the first half and gave us a nice lead at halftime.
