It's intense, but then they'll walk off and get something to eat together. I've seen that competition test-wise, too [academically]. 'What did you get? I'll do better than you.' You see that desire to be the best.

Who do I root for? I have to keep it straight and narrow.

They are unselfish. They are good kids. They'll graduate from here. They're solid citizens, and you can't ask for much more.

They were doubling up on Wayne and Gerald whenever they had the ball which freed up (Tim) Ivory and (Pat) Kelly. Kelly had some open looks in the first half and passed them up for whatever reason. But he nailed those 3 threes in the third quarter, which was key.

Gerald tattooed him in the nose or the eye, I think. As sophomores, I used to stay and watch, and hope no one got hurt.

They at least could have disguised it. Maybe a shot clock could be good, but I see a lot of problems.
