It's interesting to see little children who are deaf, with deaf parents. Maybe the mommy is the only one who understands a certain sign the child does. The language development is similar no matter what the language is.

I try to keep a balance. I actually believe that children want normal parents, they don't want celebrities or important parents or anything different from all the other parents.

One woman from the Congo talked about children running wild in the bush, outcast because their parents died of AIDS. She tries to persuade them to take food from her hands...and then, as she goes walking into the bush, she sees these shallow graves where children bury children. She takes them back to her home to give them a proper burial...These are AIDS orphans, children raising children with no values, no direction. What will become of them?

We hope to provide the tools to parents of children with ADHD so they can have the information they can talk with their doctors about.

The point is those critics say that if you sign with a baby they won't learn to talk. But it's not going to stop them from talking. And there also are those who would say why stop a deaf child from talking if they have access to hearing?

My parents were very close in everything they did.
