It's just a miracle to see this kid. He would give a lot of kids hope that have trouble. In sixth through eighth grade he was just wiped out with all the seizures and medication. He was just trying to cope with life. To see where he is now is just amazing.

It could go either way, that's for sure. They're both really big boys.

He was always sports-minded. He played soccer and in ninth grade was (Conneaut Valley's) starting goalie. He was very successful.

He wanted to play football. I didn't agree with it. I didn't think he should do it. But he was determined.

We did that because we don't want kids in foul trouble. … We try to match up on their better shooters and we came in trying to tilt our zone. We were fortunate they missed a lot of shots.

Companies that don't understand that these kids are different as consumers, are going to be in deep trouble, too. I mean they have huge power as consumers, much bigger than the baby boom per capita. We really need to wake up and understand. Because it's going to affect the brand, it will affect everything that we know about marketing.
