It's just something to make this holiday a little more special.

They don't get many valentines from many people. These will brighten things up by their rooms and in their cafeterias.

We wanted to do a community service project, and we also wanted to do something with the Big Eagle/Little Eagle program.

(Having a back up) does help a lot, especially in the doubleheaders. I know if I'm hurting or struggling, they have someone else they can go to. I want to be really supportive and encouraging to her. If I notice she is doing something that is not exactly what she should be doing, I try to help her with that.

We communicate really well. I will be looking for a certain pitch and she will call it out of nowhere. We seem to know what the other is thinking.

We're definitely playing against a lot stronger teams this year. But we've practiced and worked hard enough together that we can stand up to it.
