It's nice to have the bats come around. We had a bunch of hits, balls hit hard. Maybe we can get some confidence and get going again.

That's hard to say. It's not like he's striking out or chasing balls out of the strike zone ...[but] he hasn't been barreling up any balls.

Out of those hits, I think every ball was hit hard. Even the outs that we made, those balls were hit hard. We came out focused ready to play.

We ran into a buzz saw here. They're a very good team. They certainly came out swinging the bats, and they went right to our strength, the starting pitching.

We got a couple of our runs on hustle. That's always nice to see.

We counted it up. We hit 11 balls on the button. And what did we get, five hits?
