In February, we thought we might be running out of money, so we sent out a fundraising appeal.

Toward the end of the trip, a Wisconsin church group asked us if we could send some people on an emergency basis to help finish off the field reconstruction. That night the town teams were scheduled to play their first games since the hurricane and the rebuilding effort was running behind.

It's something that would kind of keep me in touch with Athens, ... I met so many people there, and Athens has been so good to me. So it's good to have something like that so when you come back, it's a good excuse to go to Athens.
