It's not a home game when you have to [travel] four hours,

Traveling out here was uncalled for. Try not to patronize us next time by having us travel out here and tell us it was a home game. But those were the circumstances, and we lost.

Since I travel so much, it's always great to be home. There's nothing like getting to raid my own refrigerator at two in the morning.

It’s funny. When you leave your home and wander really far, you always think, ‘I want to go home.’ But then you come home, and of course it’s not the same. You can’t live with it, you can’t live away from it. And it seems like from then on there’s always this yearning for some place that doesn’t exist. I felt that. Still do. I’m never completely at home anywhere.

While the spoken word can travel faster, you can't take it home in your hand. Only the written word can be absorbed wholly at the convenience of the reader.

When one is traveling, everything looks brighter and lovelier. That does not mean it IS brighter and lovelier; it just means that sweet, kindly home suffers in comparison to tarted-up foreign places with all their jewels on.
