It's not uncommon for New Yorkers to walk a mile a day.

People were worried; they thought we were going to go to nuclear war when there was a conflict with Russia. Today, we are worried about terrorist attacks; we are not worried about nuclear attacks. It's a whole different thing.

We find stuff all the time, but what's sort of eerie about this is that this is a bridge that thousands of people go over each day. They walk over it, cars go over it, and this stuff was just sitting there.

I go out in New York, and I think, boy, you can look at someone and pretty much determine their zip code. Everyone seems to want to conform. I wonder, are they all just button-pressers, on the Internet all day long? I don't know.
