It's one thing to announce it, but you can't just flick a switch and all of a sudden bang, it's done. Businesses need some time to adjust and to change their systems.

It's a sudden thing. You feel fine one minute and have symptoms the next.

When you lose, you have to flick the switch -- either you're gonna get better or worse. And he wasn't gonna get worse.

This isn't just a matter of changing the settings on a cash register ? that can be done fairly quickly. Our members need a grace period to implement accounting changes for input tax credits, plus some assistance to offset the costs of making the changes.

It's got everything to do with Canada Post wanting to increase its revenue and market share. And they don't care what the casualties are. They don't care about who goes out of business or how many jobs are lost.

It's going to result in thousands of jobs lost and its going to result in millions of dollars lost to the economy and I don't think they fully appreciate this.
