It's paramount to what we did all year. Mike Williams is our cornerstone and when he plays well, we play well. Webb is able to make plays for himself, but everyone else depends on Williams.

Please stop crying for [ineligible USC receiver] Mike Williams. He dropped out of second term last year when he declared, hired an agent and took the up-front loan money and benefits from the agent. The only reason he's in school now is because the big-time didn't quite work out. If you let him back after all that, you set the precedent that amateurism and benefits are negotiable.

At times last year, I really felt he was the glue to our team. He just makes plays when you need him to.

One thing you can't account for is that nobody knows much about [Mike Williams],'' he said.

The home run doesn't mean jack. You still have to come back and play and make the plays when they have men in scoring position.

I've seen so many selfless acts by Dora and Larry Williams. They would rather give something to someone and take a loss because they know that person is really in need. You just don't find that in business anymore, and it earns them a lot of their customers.
