It's practical common-sense stuff that's making us successful. Our teachers don't have to spend half of the period dealing with discipline issues. It's not that our teachers are smarter, they just have more time to teach.

That was just common sense.

It also stands to remind us that the million moms who march this coming Sunday for common sense gun laws, like handgun licensing and registration, that will increase our safety and prevent gun violence in our communities.

Even though common sense tells us that a piece of evidence doesn't need to be examined, we'll usually examine it anyway. If we find clothing with a rust stain on it, we need to look to see if it might be blood. A prudent prosecutor is not going to take the chance.

Nobody with common sense would come in and put this stuff down. That's what they're telling us: They don't want us to be buried here no more.

I was a little surprised and I'm wondering how they heard about us and where they got their information from. But I figure it's a win-win situation for us and a win-win situation for U.S. News and World Reports.
