It's racial. The reason I say that is that, if you can get the other chiefs' resumes and look at them, you will find that they have had chiefs who have nothing like what Chief Stanford has on his resume.

He has rubbed shoulders with firemen from the hydrant-man right up to the ranks. To me, I think it's very unfair for them to skip over him to bring somebody in who knows absolutely nothing about the city of Raleigh.

It's racial. I figured they were going to get away with it because they were white and it is at Duke. They're going to protect Duke and those players, plus they have the money to do so. If this was at this campus, we would've been locked up.

You cannot have all chiefs; you gotta have Indians too.

There ain't no way you can do that. They'll find a way around it. (Crew chiefs) will find a way around it. We'll find something else to run into each other with if it isn't the front bumper.

Together we learned a lot from this project. I have no reason to believe we can't do it in other locations.
