It's really unprecedented. It seems like when they had early creative meetings, (producer Josh Schwartz ) wanted input from the actors. He wanted to bring in their own personalities and record collections.

It seems like they never say anything bad about actors, they just pump them up.

He just wanted our input. He put faith in us.

As an artist, I understand that, and I value the creative input of the artist.

I feel like the thing Ben does best in his writing is scripting the tiny details and the spaces in between. Like, I would never, ever have thought to write a song ('Title and Registration') that addresses lost love by way of the glove compartment.

The goal here is to keep them apprised and to seek their input.
