It's relatively easy to generate a lot of enthusiasm for Puget Sound in the short term. Sustaining the effort to clean it up is somewhat tougher.

It wasn't a matter of effort. We have to win once in a while to keep their enthusiasm going. Tomorrow we'll come back at it and try to get up 100 shots.

It was a total team effort. I was pleased with our intensity, enthusiasm and concentration.

You still have to be able to generate your own enthusiasm, and you can't allow the crowd to dictate how you play. Whether it's loud or quiet, you can't let it affect you.

It creates a short-term hesitation and a wait-and-see attitude, which will be ameliorated and will wear off in a fairly short time. And the more of these [terror alerts] we have, the quicker the wearing-off process.
