It's stupid. Smart people don't get in cars drinking and driving.

They choose the contemporary issue that's meaningful for them. More and more we're getting less standard drinking-and-driving ones, which are important, but we're getting 'Don't talk on the cell phone when you're driving,' we're getting eating disorders, we're getting really topical, significant issues.

This guy has killed once before, admitted he killed before. He's admitted he killed again. Is he capable of killing again? Who knows.

That's why we go through the proper channels and procedures, to make sure everyone's best interest is protected...the defendant and society.

The decision of competency is not one for a jury to decide, but for a judge to decide.
