It's such a great Canadian thing. I think that's what got us inspired to play in the first place.

We originally heard they'd be doing this during the Worlds (cycling championships) in Hamilton in 2003. So we decided to contact them and see if there was a spot available for us.

If we can't beat them with skill, we'll just tire them out.

It took us a while to jell. [But] now we feel like if we play our game, we can play with anyone.

The wins definitely helped our confidence level. It shows us we can play in the Big East.

The audience differs everywhere we go. I've been sent e-mails from 18-year-old girls asking us to play birthday parties. We get middle-aged women jumping around. Generally, I like to think it's people who know their [stuff]. They talk about us being a nice change from all those angular guitar bands, the haircut and skinny-tie brigade.
