It's the most exciting place in earth

I'm terribly excited. We're all jumping up and down. I'm pleased that NASA hasn't given up on science altogether.

The Earth is slowing down. The Earth is spinning slower than it was when the international second was defined using atomic clocks, so we're losing time on those clocks.

I've talked to Coach Sampson, and he is a down to earth guy. He is a defensive coach, and that's an area I need to work on. He is just a great all around coach.

We tell them about Earth science, astronomy, plant science and marine science. But what we don't do is explain what the four basic sciences are and what the building blocks are. We go too broad too early. We don't go in depth enough.... You've got to understand the big picture of what science is and how all the sciences relate to one another. If you don't do that, you'll never get it and you'll never get a real interest in science.
