It's the only game in town in terms of classifying colleges and universities, just because everybody uses it.

It was only a generation ago when women were the exception rather than the rule at college campuses, and we're still seeing the increases. There's also the issue of what's going on with men. There are some that are choosing options rather than four-year institutions ... and there are some, particularly among minority groups, that are just not getting an education.

Cabrini has about the same percentage of smokers on campus as do most colleges and universities. This population is actually in the minority of the overall population, and with effective smoking cessation programs available for smokers, the number will hopefully continue to decrease.

What we opposed was that federal aid should go to these virtual universities that disguise themselves as colleges, where it's just something on the Internet with no resources behind it.

Every subject is fair game in universities.

We look at what other universities in the region are doing [in terms of scholarship changes], as well as assessing the overall success of our own scholarship program on an annual basis.
