It's very tough for me to adjust to new pitchers I haven't caught before. You just got to go and keep battling with them and be ready when they're out there and try to learn all the tendencies they like to do.

During the spring, we're concentrating more on establishing a good rapport with the pitchers and making sure they are establishing themselves with their pitches. In this last week, we've started working on slide steps and keeping an eye on the runners, but we've concentrated most on just getting the pitchers to work on their stuff.

I don't know how the pitchers have been doing, if they're getting better or what, so today was an important day for me.

It was exciting to catch a guy that can dominate like that.

We were supposed to be tired, but between the lines this team doesn't think about too much. We're a focused team. From Day One in spring training, all we think about is winning.

It's the same Doc I remember hitting against but he's only getting ready, that's the scary part. I think once he's a 100 per cent ready to go, he's going to be scary.
