I've always slightly worried the kids who play football around my house. They know I'm an actor, but felt sorry for me because they'd never seen anything I've done.

One of the things that is assumed about actors is that they are extrovert, which is almost never the case, in my experience.

It can't be overstated how wonderful it is not to have to audition any more. Any actor will tell you, it's like Christmas.

We want those kids to be playing football.

My mother told me years ago, "You're gonna be an actor." So I could not play football, I could not wrestle, I couldn't do anything physical but play basketball. And I wasn't really that good. I'd just kind of knock people around on the court, that was my little claim to fame.

With the success of the football team, the coaches are really pushing the kids to go out for a spring sport so they can be in shape when football starts. We've gained quite a few guys from that.
