I've asked him to do things that he shouldn't have to do, like bring the ball up the floor. He's not a true point guard. But I don't care if it's on the offensive end or the defensive end, he works harder than anybody, he really does.

I think the kids did the game plan real well; they got a couple of breaks in the end and we didn't, and that was the ball game. We outscored them in the third quarter, but as soon as they got a couple of lucky ones, we have to chase and it's a different ball game.

We wanted to stay back; they are the No. 6-ranked team in the state, not us. If they did not want to take it to us, we liked to shorten the game. If they wanted to hold it out there, go ahead and hold it out there, we'll take our chances.

That was a real killer. That broke our back. If we get that rebound and come down and score, it's a two-point game and it's anybody's game. But they get a lucky break and go six up, and with a team like that which can control the ball, that's a killer.

He's a true leader for us. Whether it's stretching or the weight room, he's just a true leader for us. And nobody works harder than him.

We made too many mistakes; we didn't take care of the ball. We did not bear down on defense like we should; they got some good looks and they knocked them down.
