I've had the great fortune to work with many great directors [and] great actors, and I just want to thank them.

It was a challenge, to work with Oliver Stone.

It's such a pleasant surprise when you come on set and you find someone in charge like Ken Branagh or James Ivory. You know that you're going to do a day's work and at the end of it, it's going to be good.

I had a choice to move up in a Fortune 500 company, which they put the option in front of me, or go to school. I could always go to school, but I wouldn't always have the opportunity to be a manager of 500 company. That experience was my school.

You have a little bit of talent, a certain amount of good fortune and a lot of hard work in pursuit of whatever truth you can find in it, and if you are really lucky, a terrific partner and I have that and those four things worked out for me.

Luck certainly had a hand in my good fortune. I can't deny that. But it came down to more than luck.
