I've liked Edgar for a long time. I thought we should have been in the running for him a long time ago. He's a clutch hitter, situational hitter, Gold Glove-caliber shortstop. You can't ask for anything more.

It's playoff time, and I think if it were 150 games into the regular season, you'd see some people dragging. But this crowd is electric when they get inside this place, and if you can't get up to play this game, then something's wrong with you.

I thought it was awesome. I never played winter ball, never got to play in a Caribbean Series. The Mexican fans brought a lot of excitement to the game.

Well, they keep me running all the time, but that particular year, they kept us running a little more than normal.

We had our bags packed, ready to go back to Atlanta. And all of a sudden, the rug is pulled out from under you. It's unfortunate. You go out there, lay it on the line for six hours, and 18 innings. To go home for the winter on a game like that is a bad feeling.

If we can get outs in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings, we'll be fine. We're going to score some runs. We've got plenty of starters. But we've got to hold the fort down after the starter goes out.
