I've written the play for my friends and for those I don't know who suffered horrific abuse at the hands of this man.

The play is now about dealing with the horrific experience of being abused. The whole John Owen case impacted greatly on the original story. It happens with all plays - you find they take on a life of their own.

I'm very pleased as Michael is a great director but I would still love to see a full production of Blink on stage in the future.

He told me that his father was in hospital after having a heart attack and the only way he could communicate was through blinking. It planted the seed of an idea for a play.

Seniors are often victims of elder abuse, in particular being exploited by friends and family as well as contractors and members of the community, ... And I really feel like they don't know where to turn it if happens to them. I think it's great information to have the DA's office here to help them.

I have a million acquaintances but just two or three true friends. I can't hide anything from them.
