Just like any other tragedy, you get by it. You realize a lot of people lost a lot of loved ones, but you also realize that's part of the space program.

We are left with one important question. Have we learned anything from this tragedy?

It's a terrible tragedy for the people of Indonesia, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims, and we wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured.

We don't even know if there were people who were visiting from nearby areas when the tragedy struck.

My fellow Katrina survivors and I have experienced more tragedy in the last six months than most people have in a lifetime. We have lost relatives, friends and our community. The federal government should live up to its responsibility to rebuild.

This is a real tragedy, these are good people.
