Ken, you're so boring

(Having a back up) does help a lot, especially in the doubleheaders. I know if I'm hurting or struggling, they have someone else they can go to. I want to be really supportive and encouraging to her. If I notice she is doing something that is not exactly what she should be doing, I try to help her with that.

We communicate really well. I will be looking for a certain pitch and she will call it out of nowhere. We seem to know what the other is thinking.

We're definitely playing against a lot stronger teams this year. But we've practiced and worked hard enough together that we can stand up to it.

We were eating anything in sight.

Most of me was glad when my mother died. She was a handful, but not in a cute, festive way. More in a life-threatening way, that had caused me a long time ago to give up all hope of ever feeling good about having had her as a mother.
