Kevin played very well in rookie camp in Ottawa at the beginning of September. He impressed us in training camp here in Carolina with his speed and work ethic and has continued to play well in Lowell.

Vince is a young prospect who earned a contract through his strong play at the rookie tournament in Ottawa. While his offensive abilities have been evident throughout his career, he has also shown a keen awareness defensively in training camp.

Kowalski is going to be in the ('Canes) camp next week. He'll have an opportunity to win the job in Lowell. Whoever doesn't win will go to Florida.

We're really beginning to analyze what's going on the last couple of years, and how can we best use that to our advantage,

I just tried to be more aggressive. Sometimes it takes a little bit at the beginning of the year to get comfortable with your delivery or just being in that environment again. You've just got to tell yourself to be aggressive.

Obviously we weren't pleased with our record at the beginning of the year, but we continually looked at the positives. We have improved every week since North Carolina.
