Kids are capable of handling a lot more than you think if you are willing to commit some time.

It's a real challenge because, at 6 and 7, these kids may not even know which side to line up on. It's hard for the guys to start from scratch. It's not a smaller version of the high school game. You can't assume anything at this level.

She was wrestling at 112 early in the season. She's only lost to kids who've been to the state tournament. ... The guys are a little bit stronger at times over her. But when they make a mistake, she makes them pay for it. She does a good job of using her balance.

Our kids played with heart and believed in themselves.

The kids played really well defensively the entire game. I'm proud of their defensive effort. Offensively, we stumbled a little in the third.

We're young. We only have three kids on the floor who saw significant time last year. Other than that, no one else played. It's nice to be able to get some other people to step up and learn how to be leaders.
