Kingsford was really ready to play. It took us awhile to get going and they surprised us.

A very good series for us against a quality team. They're ranked 10th in the state and to get two wins is very important for us at this stage in the season.

When we skate like that for three periods, we're extremely happy. We had tendencies earlier in the year to slow down or take a period off. (Tuesday) we skated hard all three periods and got all four lines involved. When we're skating (like that) teams don't know our first line from our fourth.

We started out really quick, using our speed. As soon as they scored the first goal, we went a little flat.

A lot of ... bad penalties. Our guys got the lead and then started thinking about getting payback. We gotta learn to play better disciplined hockey.

There are still things we obviously need to work on, like not playing one bad period and being ready when the first puck is dropped. But tonight we closed out the way we are supposed to.
