Kyle was 83 percent converting third downs in the second half (5-of-6). He got better as the game went along. We know he'll get better as we go. We're excited about his potential the rest of the year.

You give 100 percent in the first half of the game, and if that isn't enough in the second half you give what's left.

I think we stepped our game up in the second half of the third period and played like we can. We need to work on driving to the net with a purpose ... and making our plays. We can't just keep throwing the puck at the net and hoping to score.

It's probably the best second half of the year that we have played. Since it is only the third game with the lineup as we have it, that was a big step forward. We basically started over at Christmas. I think as soon as we get over that hump and get a little experience playing together and a rotation pattern set, the wins will come a lot easier for us and we will have a really strong finish to the season.

It's tough to lose a game when you shoot 74 percent in the second half. We have to be better defensively. For whatever reason, we were running into their screens.

There were a lot of big plays in the game but none any bigger than that, really.
