There are rocks sitting around the steps that are actually parts of broken steps we are saving to repair them. We hope people do not disturb the steps or think they are helping by throwing the chunks of rock away until they are finished.

I'm 60 years old and don't have a lot of time left. I love history and preservation, so I want to explore this all that I can.

I grew up here. These parks and hills were my playground, and I can't believe I never noticed these steps.
