Last year, the Blowout was a pivotal point in our career. Detroit's a great place for us as a band.

We love rock 'n' roll. Being able to do what we do every night ? seeing the country and, hopefully, the world ? that's success to us.

The band has evolved so much. When we started, we wanted to make as much noise as possible. Now we can sit back and craft songs we really like.

If this is the end of his playing career, they'll think of the last couple years that he had, and they were down years. They'll forget all about the numbers he put up. They'll remember the negatives and the scandals and the corked bat.

I know we feel an added level of responsibility, and it's important for us not to let that convert into pressure. You can't perform better because Roger Clemens went here, but you certainly can be criticized for not having a Roger Clemens on your pitching staff.
