Last year we didn't start too well on the road, and it's nice to get off to a better start. Knowing that we're scoring some runs, it's always nice to put our pitchers at ease a little bit and let them relax.

It's like the Antiques Road Show. It's a fund-raiser to help people out. It's a lot of fun.

People appeared to be huddled in the rain alongside the road. The rain made it seem all the more desperate, but it was one of the saddest moments I have experienced so far. So many of the faces were expressing the pain of losing not only their homes but everyone in their family. We found nearly 100 children huddled together, out of which 49 were from our school.

I'm sure he's getting a billion phone calls. I'm sure he's savoring the moment.

Whenever you've got your pitcher out there throwing strikes, you've got to come up with some big plays sometimes to help the pitchers out.

You realize that baseball isn't your life any more. It's part of it, it's not your life. That's one of the biggest changes I've gotten from it.
