Lawrence North is a very special team. They have chemistry, no problems and just play. In our lifetime there'll be nothing like this (again).

We were able to call Todd Hanni at a moment's notice and he raced here from Avon in about 30 minutes. I know his dad (Manual athletic director, Jeff Hanni). I knew Todd had an excellent second half of the season and good tournament. He just didn't quite make it (on the workout team) the first time around. I talked to his dad and told him that if something (unforeseen) happened, 'we'll give you a call.' I just didn't think it would be this 11th hour.

He doesn't dance. He doesn't jive. There's not all this other stuff. When he gets $140 million or whatever he gets, I'll be happy for him.

We really played well, but I think we can play better. We shot well, hitting 58 percent of our shots, and our defense held them to 27 percent shooting.

There will be discussions about what we do with those people, whether they will play in the grand final or perhaps in the VFL.

I want to show them that I'm healthy and that there are no problems with anything, ... I'll play whenever I get in there, but I want to get in contention for next year.
